Your data, handled with care.

A clear account of what we collect, why we need it, and the choices you have when you use CoBuilders.

In plain language

01We use your information to run your account, membership, payments, and support.

02Your eligibility check is private and limited to your own account email.

03You can ask to access or correct your personal information.

01

Who is responsible for your data

This website and the CoBuilders membership service are operated by SAND T SOLUTIONS MAROC (ICE 003479934000056), 96 Bd Anfa, 7th floor, Apt. 71, Casablanca, Morocco, under the ALX CoBuilders name.

For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, email lcemorocco@alxafrica.com.

02

Information we collect

Depending on how you use CoBuilders, we may collect:

  • Account and profile information: name, email address, phone number, WhatsApp number, account identifier, and login records.
  • Eligibility information: whether your account email matches an ALX alumni or prior local-member list, the source of that match, and the membership category assigned to you.
  • Membership and payment information: plan, membership status, renewal date, payment amount and status, bank-transfer confirmation, invoice number, and transaction references. We do not ask you to enter online-banking credentials.
  • Team inquiries: organisation name and type, contact person, WhatsApp number, team size, preferred date and setup, use case, and any notes you send.
  • Communications: messages and support requests you send by email or WhatsApp, and operational emails related to your account, payment, or access.
  • Technical information: essential session cookies and routine security or server logs such as IP address, device/browser information, timestamps, and requested pages.
03

Why we use it

We use personal information to create and secure accounts; check membership eligibility; provide and administer coworking access; reserve and confirm payments; issue invoices; answer inquiries; send service, payment, renewal, and community communications; prevent misuse; maintain our records; and meet legal, accounting, and tax obligations.

We process information where it is necessary to provide the service you requested, meet a legal obligation, protect the legitimate interests of CoBuilders and its community, or where you have given consent. We do not sell or rent personal information.

04

How eligibility matching works

When you onboard, the email attached to your account is checked against private ALX alumni and local-member email lists. An alumni match takes priority, followed by a local-member match; otherwise the standard CoBuilders plan is shown.

The check is limited to your own signed-in email. Other members cannot browse the eligibility lists. If you believe the result is wrong, contact us and we will review it.

05

Who receives information

Authorised CoBuilders staff can access information needed to operate memberships, confirm transfers, support members, and manage the space. We also use service providers for:

  • account authentication and database hosting;
  • website hosting and security;
  • transactional email delivery;
  • payment processing when card payments become available; and
  • WhatsApp when you choose to contact us or join community communications.

These providers process information under their own terms and, where applicable, on our instructions. Some providers may host or process data outside Morocco. We will handle any required notifications or authorisations for international transfers under applicable Moroccan law.

06

How long we keep it

We keep account and membership records while your account or membership is active and for a reasonable period afterward to handle support, disputes, reactivation, and legal obligations. Payment and invoice records are kept for the period required by accounting and tax rules. Team inquiries are kept while the inquiry is active and afterward only as reasonably needed for follow-up and business records.

Eligibility lists are reviewed and updated by authorised staff. Operational emails and security logs are retained only as long as needed for delivery, troubleshooting, security, or legal compliance. When information is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it where practical.

07

Cookies and similar technology

CoBuilders uses essential cookies to keep you signed in, protect account sessions, and operate the website. These cookies are necessary for requested features and cannot be switched off through the site.

We do not currently use advertising cookies or sell browsing profiles. If we add optional analytics or marketing cookies, we will update this notice and provide any choice required by law before using them.

08

How we protect information

We use role-based access, account authentication, database access controls, protected administrative tools, and other appropriate organisational and technical safeguards. No online system is completely risk-free, so please use a strong password, keep your login link or credentials private, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised account access.

09

Your choices and rights

Under Morocco’s Law No. 09-08, you may ask for access to personal information about you and request that inaccurate, incomplete, ambiguous, or outdated information be corrected, updated, blocked, or erased where applicable. You may also object to certain processing for legitimate reasons, subject to legal exceptions.

Send your request to lcemorocco@alxafrica.com. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity. You may also submit a complaint to Morocco’s Commission Nationale de contrôle de la protection des Données à caractère Personnel (CNDP).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services, providers, or legal duties change. We will post the revised version here with a new “last updated” date and provide additional notice when a change materially affects how we use personal information.
