Terms & Conditions — ALX CoBuilders

ALX CoBuilders is a coworking and community membership for professionals who need a productive, dynamic workspace, freelancers, remote workers, entrepreneurs and builders. Members work from any available desk in the space (desks are not assigned) and are welcome to choose any free workspace on arrival.

You do not need to be enrolled in an ALX programme to become a member. These terms apply to your ALX CoBuilders membership under whichever of the three plans you subscribe to: Alumni, Pass2Work (Loyal Pals) or CoBuilders — as set out in Section 2.

These terms cover the three ALX CoBuilders plans. Your rate and what it includes depend on the plan you subscribe to, as set out below. All memberships are billed monthly in Moroccan Dirhams (DH) and run month to month, with no long-term lock-in.

The plan that applies to you is the one confirmed with ALX Morocco at the time of subscription. The Alumni and Pass2Work rates are discounted rates subject to eligibility (see Section 3).

The CoBuilders rate is open to everyone and requires no eligibility verification. The Alumni and Pass2Work rates are discounted rates granted on the basis of ALX records and subject to verification.

• By subscribing at the Alumni or Pass2Work rate, you authorise ALX Morocco to verify your status against the relevant ALX membership records (alumni records or Pass2Work records).
• If your status cannot be verified, you will be offered the standard CoBuilders rate (see Section 2) instead before any payment is taken.
• If a discounted rate is found to have been granted in error or on the basis of inaccurate information, ALX Morocco may reclassify your membership to the correct plan from the next billing cycle and may request payment of the difference for the period concerned.
• If you believe you qualify for a discounted Alumni or Pass2Work rate, please contact ALX Morocco before subscribing and we will confirm your eligibility.
• Eligibility for any rate is personal to you and cannot be transferred to another person.

Every plan includes the following:

• Access to the coworking space during operating hours, on a first-come, first-served basis (desks are not assigned).
• High-speed Wi-Fi.
• Use of the lounge area to relax and network with fellow professionals.
• Access to community events and networking activities held in the space. Members should be aware that afternoons may be more active, as events and networking activities can create a lively environment.

The meeting room and podcast studio may be booked by active members, subject to availability. What is included depends on your plan:

• Alumni and Pass2Work members: bookings are available on request. Pricing and conditions are confirmed with ALX Morocco at the time of booking.
• CoBuilders members: one meeting-room session or one podcast-studio session per week are included in your membership (one hour). Additional sessions, or time beyond the included allowance, are available on request. Unused weekly allowances do not roll over to the following week and have no cash value.

Booking rules

• All bookings must be made in advance and are subject to availability.
• Any equipment required must be requested in advance.
• Members must vacate the room promptly at the end of the booking and leave it clean and tidy.
• Members are asked to be flexible during peak times and to cancel promptly any reservation they no longer need.
• Repeated no-shows may result in booking privileges being limited.

Opening hours: 8:30 to 23:00.

ALX Morocco may adjust opening hours, close the space for maintenance, private events or public holidays, or add further locations. Members will be given reasonable notice of any change wherever possible.

To maintain a professional and respectful environment, members are expected to follow the code of conduct, respect shared areas, and be considerate of others working around them.

• Quiet hours: from 8:30 to 14:00, the space is kept focused. Loud conversations, calls on speaker and other disruptive activity should be avoided during these hours; please use the designated areas for calls and meetings.
• Shared areas and equipment must be left clean and in good condition.
• Harassment, discrimination, threatening behaviour and any conduct that makes others feel unsafe are strictly prohibited.
• Members are responsible for the behaviour of any guest they bring into the space.
• Personal belongings must not be left overnight; the space is not a storage facility.

• Membership is billed monthly in advance and grants access for the paid month.
• Access to the space is granted once payment for the current month has been received.
• You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the month already paid for; access continues until then.
• Monthly subscription fees are non-refundable, including where a member cancels part-way through a paid month or does not use the space.
• If payment is not received, access may be suspended until the outstanding amount is settled.
• Prices may change. Existing members will be given at least thirty (30) days’ written notice before any price change takes effect, and may cancel before it applies.

• Membership is personal and non-transferable. Access credentials (including any badge, QR pass or code issued to you) must not be shared or lent to any other person.
• Sharing access credentials may result in suspension or termination of membership without refund.
• Members must not grant building access to non-members. Guests must be registered at reception.

Members use the space and its facilities at their own risk. ALX Morocco and the operator are not liable for the loss, theft or damage of personal property brought into the space, nor for any loss of data. Members are responsible for securing their own equipment and belongings and are encouraged to arrange their own insurance where appropriate.

Members are liable for any damage they, or their guests, cause to the space, its equipment or the property of others.

Personal data collected in connection with your membership (including your name, contact details, identification number, eligibility status and payment records) is processed for the purposes of managing your membership, verifying eligibility, handling payments, and ensuring the security of the space.

Data is processed in accordance with Moroccan law, including Law No. 09-08 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data. Members may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal data by contacting ALX Morocco.

ALX Morocco may suspend or terminate a membership, without refund of the current month, where a member seriously or repeatedly breaches these terms — in particular the code of conduct (Section 7) or the rules on access credentials (Section 9), or where a member’s conduct puts the safety of others at risk.

Members may terminate their membership at any time in accordance with Section 8.

These terms may be updated from time to time. Members will be notified of material changes with reasonable notice, and continued use of the space after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

This agreement is governed by Moroccan law. Any dispute will first be handled amicably between the parties before being escalated, if necessary, to the competent courts of Casablanca.
